Fees Guide: I charge two sets of fees for my services (in the Perth metropolitan area) and they are fixed in a quote to you after we agree upon what you want for your wedding. The following are guides till July 2008. Prices will only be confirmed once the couple have discussed the wedding arrangements with me and I have confirmed it in writing with you. The only reason the prices are set higher is petrol costs - Travel is the biggest component of my time and costs. I have budgeted that the costs will steadily rise over the next 2 years. If petrol price is over $1.40/l when the wedding takes place - generally I will add $10 to the prices below as a petrol surcharge.
What do you (generally) get for this price: 1. Rehearsal - included free at my
home (* may be not asked for.) Factors that may cause changes to the above prices include - interpreters, extra travel time or distance, overnight stays and accommodation, translation services, costs associated with special arrangements, hire of specialised equipment or dress required by the couple. There may be other items but all of this will be discussed and negotiated before you need to pay the Booking Fee. Please note: the wedding date and time is not booked until the Booking Fee is received by Graham. Also these prices are subject to fluctuation -varying according to the price of fuel. Once a wedding is booked and prices are quoted - they are locked in.

Meeting before the Wedding I like to have two meetings with you prior to the wedding. The first meeting to take place not more than eighteen months and not less than one month and one day prior to your wedding and the second meeting to take place within the last two weeks immediately prior to your wedding. At the first meeting, you may complete a 'Notice of Intended Marriage' and I will discuss your ceremony with you and provide you with a booklet of ceremonies and suggested readings for you to peruse at your leisure. The meetings normally take place at my residence however special arrangements can be made for couples who reside interstate or overseas. Ceremonies: I am happy to assist you to develop a personalised ceremony for your special day by offering you a variety of ceremonies, poems, readings and vows to choose from. Alternatively, you may wish to write your own ceremony. You may wish to involve family members or special friends in your ceremony. My major aim is for you to be happy with your ceremony for this most special day. After all, it's your ceremony, not mine, and I will assist you to ensure that your ceremony reflects your individual requirements and beliefs, at the same time ensuring that all legal requirements are met. Your ceremony may be conducted in a park, garden, private residence, function centre or a place of special significance. See some venues Ceremonies normally take approximately 20 - 30 minutes to complete, including the signing of the register and certificates. It is important that you book your ceremony, time and venue with me as soon as you have determined these details. Typical Civil Ceremony Structure: There is no one single ceremony structure. There are some
things that legally have to be said in some sort order of sequence, but the order for the
non legal aspects are not critical. And for many of the sections there are a huge variety
of options. I provide a booklet with many different options for Introductions, Readings/
Poems, The Asking, and the Ring Ceremony. These are available to couples on loan and after
the legalities have been signed at the first meeting. |

Introduction
|
|||||||||
The wedding ceremony can be very formal or very relaxed, but its most important attribute is that it should reflect the personality and love of the couple being married. A well designed wedding ceremony has a clear structure that flows smoothly, maintains everyone is interest and remains very personal and intimate throughout. The music and poetry should complement the promises and the setting, and the direction provided by the celebrant should be warm and inclusive. Everyone present should feel part of a very memorable event. At the completion of the ceremony you will be required to sign the Marriage Register and Marriage Certificates, together with two witnesses and the Marriage Celebrant. You will be presented with your Marriage Certificate and a complimentary copy of your marriage ceremony. |
